Patel Engineering JV Bags ₹126.37 Cr Tasgaon Lift Irrigation Project

Patel Engineering Ltd has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation for the development of the Tasgaon Lift Irrigation Scheme in Maharashtra, marking another addition to its infrastructure project portfolio.

The contract has been awarded to a joint venture in which Patel Engineering holds a 51% stake. The total project value is ₹126.37 crore, excluding taxes, with Patel Engineering’s share amounting to approximately ₹64.45 crore.

The award follows the company’s successful emergence as the lowest bidder (L1) for the project and formally initiates the execution phase of the contract.

Located in Maharashtra’s Satara district, the irrigation project will serve a command area of 2,277 hectares covering six villages—Tasgaon, Varne, Karandwadi, Devkarwadi, Degaon, and Nigadi. The scope of work includes the construction of headworks, pump houses, switchyards, rising mains, delivery chambers, pumping machinery, and associated civil, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure. The project also involves the development of a closed pipe distribution network to facilitate efficient water delivery.

Scheduled for completion within 48 months, the scheme is expected to enhance irrigation coverage, improve water availability for agriculture, increase farm productivity, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.

The project further strengthens Patel Engineering’s presence in the irrigation and water infrastructure segment, an area that continues to witness significant government investment. As of March 31, 2026, the company reported an order book of ₹15,119 crore, providing strong revenue visibility and supporting its long-term growth outlook.
